Oahu, Hawaii is made up of 120 miles of breath taking coastline. Hawaii's mild tropical climate makes driving a motorcycle the best way to see the island of Oahu anytime of the year. Honolulu, Hawaii is known for its motorcycle friendly streets that allow you to relax, cruise and truly experience Hawaii.
From Honolulu, start off by leaving Waikiki and following the coastline up and around Diamond Head. Which will lead you through Kahala (the Beverly Hills of Hawaii) and follow the signs to the 72-Hanauma Bay on ramp. (You will notice to circle the island of Oahu all you have to do is keep the ocean on your right) Maneuver your motorcycle around Koko Head crater and you will find yourself in the beautiful Sandy Beach. Known for its world class body boarding Sandy's is a must see while making your circle island tour.
After leaving Honolulu and Sandys take your Harley and follow the Road up to Makpuu point and through the local town of Waimanalo. Then you will come to the Hawaii freeway #61, which is a T in the road. Where you can go left the North Shore or right to Kailua. Both are very beautiful, so I would recommend making a right and driving through Kailua and back tracking toward the North Shore.
While traveling North you will begin to feel like you are really in Hawaii. With the endless ocean on your right and the Koolau mountain range on your left you will begin to feel as if you have the entire island of Oahu to yourself. Once you reach the North Shore you will you travel through the the surfing towns of Sunset, Waiamea and Haleiwa.
Once you are done scoping the big surf and eating shave ice it will be time to hop back on your Harley Davidson and cruise down the 99, through the pineapple fields. Where you will come across the Dole Plantaion where you can stop for some killer pineapple icecream.
From the plantation you will travel down the 92, Nimitz Hiway, through Pearl Harbor and back into Honolulu. Make sure you bring your sunscreen, water, swim shorts (because you never know when you will need them!), and a towel.
